People ask me all the time where most of my business comes from…the answer is word of mouth, and Facebook. However, this time it was a little more unique. I met Amy in a cake decorating aisle last Fall. She was getting ready to make her daughter’s birthday cake and asked me if I make cakes a lot because she had a question. As a matter of fact…I do! 🙂 So I gave her a few tips…and my business card. A few months later, she called me to do her wedding cakes! I was thrilled. Amy and John got married on his family’s farm on the 4th of July.
Their centerpiece cake was a double barrel cake, flavors were strawberry, almond, and strawberry almond swirl…all popular choices! The basket cakes were lemon, and almond in flavor, iced in buttercream, then finished in fondant. I was super nervous about these cakes, but I couldn’t be happier with the way they turned out! Amy loved them too. (Note: The flowers shown here were artificial flowers I had at home for a project…they used real flowers at the wedding)

After delivering the wedding cakes, I had my own 4th of July celebration to go to…our neighborhood block party!
Naturally, I brought the cupcakes. 🙂
