I know I always say how much fun every cake is that I do…but this one, this one takes the CAKE!!
It’s so girly…and princessy…and fancy…and pink! I just LOVED it!
Not to mention the look on little Jaelynn’s face when she saw it…her eyes just lit up!
Happy Birthday, Jaelynn!
Here are a couple more cakes I did this weekend…
This pink rosette cake will be all smashed up when Chloe gets to it at her photo shoot tomorrow! Can’t wait to see pics!!
Oh, and my new cake stand I finally treated myself to…YAY! (I’m just a little excited about it)
I made this next cake for my friend’s daughter, Mattie. She turned 11 and celebrated with a BIG surprise party with all of her friends last night. It was my first time using an edible photo on the cake…I think it turned out pretty neat!
Happy Birthday, Miss Mattie!
This weekend, I made a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed birthday cake for Evan, who turned 3. For a little added surprise, I colored the cake green…his favorite color!
I made these cat and dog cupcakes for Ashlynn’s 10th birthday party. She asked her friends to bring items to donate to the ARL, instead of birthday presents, for her. She collected quite a supply of food, toys and treats for the ARL. Such a thoughtful little girl!
Have a great week everyone!
An adorable little rubber ducky splashing around in his bubble bath…
I made this cake for a co-worker’s baby shower we had at work this week. My 2 year old, Emma, thought it was the funniest thing in the world watching me put bubbles on his beak and head! She loved this cake and insisted on telling the ducky goodnight when the cake was put away for the night. 🙂 Emma was very disappointed to see he was gone when we got home for the day. And even more disappointed when I told her we ate the ducky at work (which we didn’t…but that’s how is slipped out) Oops.
“SURPRISE!!” That’s what Patrick heard last night at his surprise 30th birthday party. His wife, Natalie, contacted me a few weeks ago to come up with a special birthday cake for the big event. She asked if I could somehow incorporate all of Patrick’s favorite things…Bud Light, Chuck Taylors, Green Bay Packers, and Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. My wheels started immediately spinning with ideas…and this is what I came up with!
Stay tuned for many more pictures from over the busy weekend…I just couldn’t wait to share this one! It was so much fun.
So I had a Norwex party this weekend, and what better time than to try out some new flavors! My lovely girlfriends were more than happy to be my taste testers…(thanks ladies!!) I made Salted Caramel (not new…but a must have), Pumpkin Spice, and Snickerdoodle! For the record, I didn’t make the mini cookies to put on top of the Snickerdoodles for the party…so they aren’t pictured here. We paired the cupcakes with coffee…and they were a hit!!
Now, I’m gearing up for quite possibly the busiest week of my life…so stay tuned for LOTS, and I mean LOTS of cakes and cupcakes!!!
Have a great week, everyone!
Recently, I came across an article in the DSM Register about Hiatt middle school student, Justin Chey, who had just learned he had brain cancer. There’s nothing worse than hearing of a child battling such an illness…it’s just heartbreaking, and so unfair. The school put on a big 13th birthday bash for Justin, and I kicked in some cupcakes for the big event. Vanilla cupcakes, with gray ribbons…to represent brain cancer.
Here is the cake I provided to be auctioned off at tonight’s benefit for Mental Health Awareness, Cakes & Cocktails! In the short time I was there to drop off my cake, I seen a lot of other really neat cakes provided by other local bakeries and got to chat with a couple of them, which was really nice. This is definitely one of my favorite cakes I’ve ever done…could it be because it’s all PINK? Probably…and of course, because it represents Breast Cancer Awareness. My family and I will be walking the race this weekend in support of our lovely neighbor, Tee. It will be our first time in the race and we are very excited to give her our support!
