Hi Mimi friends! It’s been a very busy year so far…especially this month! Mimi’s is currently booked through June 15th. As a reminder, I work alone so dates fill up very fast! It’s never too soon to get on my calendar…just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your date today!
Here are some of my favorites from the last few of months…
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner! Our tree is up, Emma the Elf is back, and the Christmas music and festivities are in full swing. This truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
Some more exciting news…my awesome husband, along with the help of some friends and family have started working on my very own, Mimi’s kitchen! Fingers crossed it will be ready around the new year…right guys?? 😉 I CAN’T WAIT! (Squeee!!!)
So, it’s been awhile since I’ve shared pictures here…a long while, actually! Here are just a few of my favorites from the past couple of months. Please check out my cake gallery tab for more and follow me on Facebook for immediate updates!
*Mimi’s will be closed 12/14-1/1/15, so I can devote all of my time to family this holiday season!
Thank you all for your support!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Here is another Frozen themed cake I made over the weekend for my little neighbor, Cydney.
Happy Birthday, Cyd!
And a few more from the past…
As you can see…Elsa is quite the popular princess! Which makes me feel kind of bad for Anna…she’s my personal favorite in the movie! Maybe one of these days, I’ll get to make her! 😉
My friend Tee recently celebrated being 5 years cancer free! She had a big PINK party to celebrate with all her family and friends. I was honored to be able to make the sweet treats for the big event. Tee’s favorite thing ever are cake pops! I however, have a love/hate relationship with them. But…since this party was (kinda) a big deal, 😉 I wanted to muster up enough patience and make some for her. Surprisingly, they were actually fun to make this time around! It probably helped that they were pink. 🙂 Because, pink makes me happy! I made a 3 tiered centerpiece cake for the dessert table, and pink ribbon cupcakes.
I met Tee when we were moving into our new house almost 2 years ago. Both having 2 little ones, we hit it off right away. Anyway, a few months after we moved in, I asked Tee if she knew someone who had breast cancer (because the girl was ALWAYS decked out in pink gear!) She said, “Yes. Me.” I was so shocked, how could I not have known this about her…we hang out all the time! She is SO young! She has little kids! OMG, how does this happen? Turns out, she has quite an amazing story. At 30 years old, she got the news she had breast cancer. She also received the news she was pregnant with their first baby during her pre-op physical. She was pregnant, and she had cancer. I can’t imagine the mix of emotions that brought to them. In the end, her little miracle baby, Colton (now 4!) was born and she’s a 5 year survivor of breast cancer at 36. I didn’t know Tee during her journey, but am so glad to know her now and to have learned about her fight. I can’t imagine what it took for her to stay strong during that time. She is truly an inspiration to many and is one of the strongest women I know. I’m honored to be a part of “Tee’s Team” and to walk with her again next month at the Breast Cancer Walk.
So here’s to Tee, for kicking that “mooch” to the curb and being 5 years cancer free!
